GENIOPLASTYCandidates for genioplasty have a small chin, a finding that is quite common in patients with a retruded or small mandible. Genioplasty is a cosmetic procedure intended to enhance facial esthetics.The procedure is performed intraorally and usually takes 30-40 minutes long. If performed as an isolated procedure, this would be an outpatient procedure. A soft diet is recommended for 1 week, and patients usually return to work in 1 week.
